Bishop Joseph Kollamparambil has been appointed as the diocesan administrator of the Syro-Malabar Diocese of Shamshabad in Telangana. This appointment follows the election of Bishop Raphael Thattil as Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Church last week. Bishop Kollamparambil officially took on his new responsibilities during the ongoing synod of the Church in Kochi.

Previously, Bishop Kollamparambil was appointed auxiliary bishop of the diocese in October 2022. He will oversee the diocese until a new bishop is appointed, according to a recent communication.
