The BJP has strongly retaliated against Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s accusation of labeling them as a “party of terrorists,” asserting that it is the opposition party with a history of supporting terrorism.

BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi criticized Congress for backing traditional Islamic practices like triple talaq, halala, and hijab, while baselessly accusing Hindu society, as reported by PTI.

“This is the mindset of urban Naxals that Prime Minister Narendra Modi often refers to,” Trivedi stated.

In response to Kharge’s remarks, Union minister Giriraj Singh pointed out that it is the Congress that has always been supportive of terrorists.

Another Union minister, Pralhad Joshi, suggested that Kharge mistakenly referred to the BJP as a party of terrorists, attributing it to a slip of the tongue.

Joshi highlighted instances where Congress allegedly displayed leniency towards terrorists, contrasting it with the significant decline in terrorist activities under Modi’s leadership.

BJP spokesperson C R Kesavan criticized Congress for its biased and divisive mindset, likening it to the colonial British ideology of divide and rule.

He also reminded the nation of Congress equating terrorism with the Hindu community in the past, calling out a former Union minister under the Congress-led UPA government for derogatory remarks about Hindu terrorism.

Meanwhile, Kharge continued his criticism by taking a swipe at Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat over his comments on minorities in Bangladesh, accusing him of supporting a party that seeks to sow disunity in the country.

Kharge accused Bhagwat of aligning with a party (BJP) that aims to undermine unity by targeting the Constitution, reservation policies, and espousing conflicting views on Muslims.
