Unifi’s Innovative Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund

Unifi Mutual Fund is launching its inaugural dynamic asset allocation scheme, the Unifi Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund, with the aim of providing returns that surpass inflation levels in various economic environments.

The NFO will be available for subscription from March 3, 2025, to March 7, 2025, and will reopen for continuous investment on March 21, 2025. This scheme is targeted at investors seeking low-volatility, inflation-beating returns over a two-year investment horizon or longer.

According to VN Saravanan, Chief Investment Officer of Unifi Mutual Fund, the fund management team will have the flexibility to allocate anywhere from 0% to 100% across different debt and equity segments in varying proportions. This flexibility will be used strategically to minimize downside risks throughout economic cycles while striving to achieve consistent real returns above inflation.

A key feature of the fund is its ability to adapt to market conditions without requiring investors to actively switch between asset classes. This ensures a seamless investment experience, particularly during fluctuating economic cycles. Additionally, the fund’s allocation strategy will be guided by short- to medium-term growth and inflation trends to ensure that investment decisions are aligned with current market conditions.

Investment decisions will be based on four primary economic phases: rising growth with falling inflation, rising growth with rising inflation, falling growth with rising inflation, and falling growth with falling inflation. The fund will maintain a significant allocation to government securities, AAA bonds, hedged equity, and special situations arbitrage across all economic conditions. Exposure to credit instruments and diversified equity will be adjusted based on the economic outlook, increasing during periods of rising growth and decreasing when growth projections weaken.

In conclusion, the Unifi Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund aims to provide investors with a hassle-free investment experience while generating inflation-beating returns across various economic cycles.
