Thomas Cook India and SOTC Travel have seen a 35 percent increase in demand from female travelers across India, as per their Women’s Travel Trend Report 2025 released in anticipation of International Women’s Day.

The report highlights notable shifts in women’s travel preferences, with a 37 percent rise in adventure experiences. Additionally, spa and wellness tourism has grown by 28 percent, while cruise vacations have seen a 23 percent increase in popularity. Culinary experiences have shown a 17 percent growth, and milestone celebrations have emerged as a significant factor, with 35 percent of women opting to travel for special occasions.

Female travelers are also spending 15-20 percent more year-over-year, with budgets ranging from ₹1-1.5 lakh for domestic trips to ₹4-5 lakh for long-haul destinations. Trip durations have also increased across all categories.

The report indicates a strong interest from both metropolitan areas and tier 2-3 cities. Popular domestic destinations include Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, and Goa, while international favorites are Thailand, Malaysia, and Switzerland.

Rajeev Kale, President & Country Head – Holidays, MICE, Visa, Thomas Cook India Limited, stated, “Women today are redefining travel—seeking experiences that go beyond traditional sightseeing to embrace adventure, culture, and personal growth.”
