The project requires ACME Solar to deliver firm, round-the-clock renewable power through a combination of solar, wind, and battery storage systems connected to the Interstate Transmission System.

Indian Railways will sign Power Purchase Agreements directly with winning bidders without intermediaries, reflecting the railway network’s need for consistent power supply due to its continuous operational requirements.

The tender mandates minimum annual availability of 75 per cent for the first three years after commissioning, rising to 85 per cent thereafter.

ACME Solar must commission the project within 30 months of PPA signing, leveraging existing land and grid connectivity in its portfolio to accelerate deployment.

The competitive tariff demonstrates renewable energy’s growing ability to provide high-capacity utilization factor power around the clock at competitive rates. The Letter of Award is expected within the timelines specified in the tender document.

ACME Solar currently operates 2,934 MW of contracted capacity with an additional 4,456 MW under construction, including 13.5 GWh of battery energy storage systems. The company handles end-to-end project development through its in-house EPC and operations divisions.

The shares of ACME Solar Holdings Limited were trading at ₹234.70 up by ₹3.35 or 1.41 per cent on the NSE today at 12.35 pm.
