Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in a roadshow in Bhavnagar on Saturday ahead of the ‘Samudra se Samriddhi’ event. During this occasion, he laid the foundation stone for several development projects amounting to over ₹34,200 crore and delivered a keynote address.

Following the event, PM Modi is scheduled to conduct an aerial survey of the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) and chair a review meeting before visiting the National Maritime Heritage Complex in Lothal.

According to a release from the Prime Minister’s Office, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple maritime sector projects valued at over ₹7,870 crore. These projects include the Mumbai International Cruise Terminal at Indira Dock, a new container terminal and related facilities at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port in Kolkata, new container berths and cargo handling facilities at Paradip Port, and the Tuna Tekra Multi-Cargo Terminal. Additional works include enhancements at Kamarajar Port, coastal protection initiatives at Chennai Port and Car Nicobar Island, a multi-purpose cargo berth and a Green Bio-Methanol Plant at Deendayal Port, Kandla, and ship repair facilities in Patna and Varanasi.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various central and state government projects in Gujarat worth over ₹26,354 crore, consistent with his commitment to holistic and sustainable development. Key projects include the HPLNG Regasification Terminal at Chhara Port, an Acrylics and Oxo Alcohol Project at Gujarat IOCL Refinery, a 600 MW Green Shoe Initiative, and several solar projects focused on serving farmers and community electrification, such as the PM-KUSUM 475 MW Component C solar feeder and the 45 MW Badeli Solar PV Project.

Furthermore, infrastructure initiatives in the state will include LNG facilities, additional renewable energy projects, coastal protection works, highways, healthcare, and urban transport developments, notably expansions at the Sir T General Hospital in Bhavnagar and Guru Govind Sinh Government Hospital in Jamnagar, along with the four-laning of 70 kilometers of national highways.
