Tata Motors recently made headlines by dethroning Maruti Suzuki as the highest-selling car in the country with the Tata Punch. This achievement comes after a month-long celebration for the company, marking a significant milestone in their sales performance. In addition to this, Tata Motors announced that they have crossed the production milestone of 5 lakh units of the Punch. To celebrate this success, we took the Punch.ev for a test drive to explore what makes it a popular choice among Indian car buyers.

The Punch.ev features a modern and stylish design, with a fresh face and improved cabin design compared to its standard iteration. The interior boasts of better seats with ventilation, a 10.25-inch infotainment display, and a large instrument cluster. The overall quality of the cabin is top-notch, offering a comfortable and pleasant driving experience.

Despite its compact size, the Punch offers ample space for both front and rear passengers, making it suitable for urban driving. The car is available with two battery options – a 25 kWh battery with 80 bhp motor or a 35 kWh battery with 120 bhp motor. The Punch.ev promises a decent range on a single charge and delivers excellent real-world economy.

In terms of ride and handling, the Punch.ev offers a confident and agile drive, with three driving modes to choose from. The regenerative braking system adds to the driving experience, enabling single-pedal driving in the city. Priced between ₹9.99 lakh and ₹14.44 lakh, the Punch.ev offers style, performance, and features that justify its premium over the ICE version.

Tata Motors’ achievement with the Punch is commendable, and the Punch.ev stands out as a solid choice for urban, all-electric SUVs in the market. With its stylish design, comfortable cabin, and efficient performance, the Tata Punch.ev continues to impress customers and maintain its position as a top-selling car in the country.
