Reliance shines as IT stocks falter in intraday trading on 7th March 2025

Shares of Reliance Industries, Bharat Electronics, Nestle India, HDFC Life, and Bajaj Auto were among the top gainers in the Nifty 50 pack, while IndusInd Bank, NTPC, Infosys, Shriram Finance, and HCL Tech lagged behind.

The broader market saw fluctuations on Friday due to continued selling by FIIs and global trade tensions. The Sensex remained flat at 74,344.96, while the Nifty 50 traded at 22,559.05 as of 12:58 pm.

Top gainers & losers

Among the 2,841 stocks traded on the National Stock Exchange, 1,841 advanced and 917 declined. KPI Green, Shakti Pumps, and JNK India were among the 196 stocks that hit the upper circuit.

In terms of the Nifty 50 components, Reliance Industries led the rally with a 3.52% gain, trading at ₹1,252.2. Bharat Electronics followed with a 1.62% increase to ₹277.38, while Nestle India shares gained 1.62% to ₹2,236.75. HDFC Life was up by 1.54% at ₹627.8, and Bajaj Auto soared by 1.47% to ₹7,571.95.

On the flip side, IndusInd Bank fell by 3.27% to ₹939.9, NTPC shares declined by 2.01% to ₹331.1, and Infosys dipped by 1.96% to ₹1,682.3. Shriram Finance and HCL Technologies also saw declines of 1.82% to ₹632.6 and 1.54% to ₹1,561, respectively.

Inox Wind shares rallied by 11% after securing a new work order. Zen Technologies and Data Patterns surged among the Sensex pack, while Gensol Engineering continued to trade in the negative territory.
