Prime Minister Narendra Modi made his first visit to Andhra Pradesh after being re-elected for a third consecutive term in 2024. During his visit to Visakhapatnam, he was warmly welcomed by Governor S. Abdul, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. The Prime Minister participated in a roadshow along with his allies, showcasing unity and support.

Chief Minister Naidu highlighted the significance of the occasion through a post on social media, noting it as a pivotal moment for Andhra Pradesh. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated and unveiled development projects valued at over ₹2 lakh crore, which are crucial for bolstering the state’s economic growth.

Among the key projects, PM Modi announced the foundation stone laying for NTPC’s Integrated Green Hydrogen Hub in Pudimadaka, Anakapalli district. This ambitious initiative, costing ₹1.85 lakh crore, is a collaboration between NTPC Green Energy Limited and the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP). Spanning an extensive 1,200 acres near Gangavaram Seaport, the hub aims to produce green chemicals such as green ammonia, methanol, and urea, and is projected to generate approximately 57,000 jobs by 2032. The project also encompasses plans for industrial units, logistics infrastructure, and desalination facilities.

Additionally, PM Modi will virtually inaugurate the ₹1,518 crore Krishnapatnam Industrial Hub, which is anticipated to create jobs for around 50,000 individuals across 2,500 acres. He will further lay the foundation for a ₹1,877 crore bulk drug park in Nakkapalli, expected to draw investments of ₹11,542 crore and generate 54,000 jobs. The Prime Minister is also set to launch railway doubling projects between Guntur-Bibinagar and Gooty-Pendekallu to enhance regional transport and economic development.

After these significant events, PM Modi is scheduled to address a public gathering at Andhra University, where attendance is expected to exceed 150,000 people. He will conclude his visit by departing from Visakhapatnam Airport for Bhubaneswar at 7:15 PM.
