Laxmi Dental IPO: Retail and NII demand strong, QIB interest lagging

The IPO of Laxmi Dental Limited has garnered strong interest from retail and non-institutional investors, with the subscription levels surpassing expectations on the second day of the offering. The overall subscription stood at 8.09 times, showcasing the robust demand for the company’s shares.

Non-institutional investors showed remarkable enthusiasm, with a subscription of 17.62 times. Retail investors also displayed keen interest, subscribing 17.64 times to the IPO. In contrast, the qualified institutional buyers’ portion witnessed tepid response, with a subscription of only 0.14 times.

The IPO, which commenced on January 13, 2025, is set to close on January 15, 2025. Laxmi Dental Limited offered 89.70 lakh equity shares across all categories, receiving a total of 2.88 crore bids, representing a 3.21 times subscription on the NSE.

It is evident that retail and non-institutional investors have shown strong confidence in the company’s prospects, while institutional investors have been more reserved in their participation. The outcome of this IPO will be closely watched by market participants to gauge the overall sentiment towards Laxmi Dental Limited and the broader market trends.
