TP Solar Limited, a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) and a part of Tata Power, has clinched a contract from the Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI) for the supply of 292.5 MWp DCR (Domestic Content Requirement) Solar Modules. This project is part of the CPSU Scheme Tranche-III, emphasizing TP Solar’s dedication to advancing India’s renewable energy movement. The contract, valued at around ₹632 crore, involves delivering top-notch DCR modules to the assigned site in Ramagiri, Andhra Pradesh.

In Mexico, TVS Motor Company has introduced the TVS King Duramax Plus and TVS King Deluxe Plus three-wheelers. These passenger carriers are designed like cars on three wheels, equipped with numerous smart features for driver and passenger comfort, alongside a sturdy and reliable engine that ensures a low total cost of ownership.

Coal India Ltd (CIL) has announced a standard levy of ₹300 per tonne across all mines under its subsidiary, Northern Coalfields Ltd (NCL), starting from May 1, 2025. Referred to as the ‘Singrauli Punarasthapan Charge,’ this levy is anticipated to generate additional revenue of ₹3,877.50 crore, applied on top of the notified coal prices.

Transrail Lighting Ltd (Transtrail) has secured a new order worth ₹2,752 crore in the power transmission and distribution sector. This latest win has increased the company’s order book to ₹7,400 crore, as stated in a company announcement.

Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL), a government-owned infrastructure company, has bagged a ₹135.66-crore contract from Central Railway. This project involves the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of traction sub-stations, sectioning posts, and sub-sectioning posts along the Bhusaval-Khandwa section, to be completed within 24 months to support railway freight targets.

Granules India has disclosed that the US FDA has issued a Warning Letter to its Gagillapur facility following an inspection conducted in August 2024. The FDA has not indicated any further escalation, and the company plans to respond within the specified timeframe and seek a meeting with the FDA to showcase ongoing progress towards compliance.

HCL Technologies has forged a partnership with Children’s Minnesota, a prominent healthcare provider in the US. The IT giant will assist in enhancing hospital operations, streamlining service delivery, and improving patient care through AI-driven solutions.

GE Power has secured an additional contract worth ₹273.5 crore from GREENKO KA01 IREP Private Ltd for the Saundatti pumped storage project in Karnataka’s Belagavi district. The agreement encompasses engineering, manufacturing, procurement, supply, installation, and testing of electromechanical equipment for an additional 320 MW unit.

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has nullified insolvency proceedings against Coffee Day Enterprises Ltd (CDEL), the owner of the Cafe Coffee Day chain. The NCLAT bench overturned an earlier order passed by the National Company Law Tribunal in Bengaluru, which admitted a plea for default of ₹228.45 crore and appointed an interim resolution professional to manage the company’s affairs.

Blinkit, a subsidiary of Zomato, has launched a service delivering Apple products like MacBook Air, iPad, and AirPods within 10 minutes in select cities in India. Consumers can now receive these Apple products swiftly for their convenience.

LIC (Life Insurance Corporation of India) has received a demand notice amounting to ₹479.88 crore for short payment of Goods and Services Tax (GST) for 2020-21. The company received this communication for interest and penalty for Maharashtra from the Deputy Commissioner of State Tax, Mumbai, on February 27, as mentioned in a regulatory filing.
