HDFC Mutual Fund acquired 1 million shares of Global Health, which operates the Medanta healthcare brand, from co-founder Sunil Sachdeva for over ₹122 crore through open market transactions on Monday.
As per block deal data from the National Stock Exchange (NSE), this purchase equates to a 0.37 percent stake in Global Health, with shares acquired at an average price of ₹1,225 each, amounting to a total transaction value of ₹122.50 crore.
Following this transaction, Sachdeva’s shareholding in Global Health decreased to 10.42 percent from 10.79 percent. The stock of Global Health experienced a nearly 1 percent increase, closing at ₹1,249 per share on the NSE.
Earlier in the month, Global Health Ltd reported a 39.7 percent increase in profit after tax, reaching ₹141.7 crore for the fourth quarter ending March 31, 2026, up from ₹101.4 crore during the same period the previous fiscal year. The company’s revenue from operations in the fourth quarter was reported at ₹1,159 crore, compared to ₹931.3 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
