The introduction of Gensol Electric Vehicles’ first electric vehicle, EZIO, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi marks a significant milestone for the company. This compact two-seater EV, along with the electric concept cargo vehicle EZIBOT, will be showcased at the event, highlighting the company’s foray into the electric mobility market.

Gensol Engineering Limited, the parent company of Gensol Electric Vehicles, has a strong foothold in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar power engineering. With over 770 MW of solar projects completed across India, the company has now expanded its operations to include electric mobility services and manufacturing.

Anmol Jaggi, Managing Director of Gensol Engineering, described EZIO as India’s first truly modern and compact EV, positioning it as a solution for urban mobility needs and supporting national decarbonization goals. The vehicles showcased at the expo will be manufactured at Gensol’s new plant in Pune, with an annual production capacity of 30,000 units.

Despite facing delays in the development of EZIO, Gensol remains confident that the final product will justify the extended timeline. The company’s entry into the electric vehicle market aligns with the increasing demand for sustainable transportation solutions in India and reflects its commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Overall, Gensol Electric Vehicles’ debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 signifies a significant step towards a greener and more sustainable future for the Indian automotive industry. As the company continues to expand its electric vehicle portfolio and manufacturing capabilities, it is poised to play a key role in driving the adoption of electric mobility in the country.
