Delhi Capitals Revise Playing XI for IPL 2026 Match Against Rajasthan Royals

Jaipur: In the IPL 2026 match against the Rajasthan Royals, the Delhi Capitals have implemented several changes to their lineup. Following the toss, captain Axar Patel confirmed that young opener Sahil Parakh was sidelined due to a neck spasm, necessitating these adjustments. Pathum Nissanka has been reinstated to open, which led to the decision to drop David Miller, given the limit on overseas players.

Mitchell Starc also made his return to the playing XI after being absent for an entire month. He has replaced Dushmantha Chameera. The Australian fast bowler will team up with Kyle Jamieson, enhancing DC’s bowling attack, particularly during the powerplay.

The Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to bat first, with captain Riyan Parag citing the dry nature of the pitch and a quicker surface observed during practice as the reasons for their choice. “We’re going to bat first. I think it’s not the usual Jaipur wicket. It’s a bit dry; we noticed that yesterday and the pitch played a little faster on the other day. So hopefully it gets a little slow in the back end, so that’s why we’re batting first,” Parag explained.

Additionally, the Royals made a few adjustments, bringing Ravi Bishnoi back into the playing XI after a brief layoff, while Dasun Shanaka will serve as an Impact Player. Shubham Dubey is also included in the squad.

Delhi Capitals (Playing XI): KL Rahul (wk), Pathum Nissanka, Nitish Rana, Sameer Rizvi, Tristan Stubbs, Axar Patel (c), Ashutosh Sharma, Kyle Jamieson, Mitchell Starc, Kuldeep Yadav, T Natarajan.

Rajasthan Royals (Playing XI): Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel (wk), Riyan Parag (c), Donovan Ferreira, Ravindra Jadeja, Shubham Dubey, Jofra Archer, Ravi Bishnoi, Nandre Burger, Brijesh Sharma.
