NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched an online portal for Class 12 students to apply for verification of issues found in scanned copies of their evaluated answer books and for re-evaluation of answers. This facility is available exclusively to students who have already obtained the scanned copies and will remain accessible until midnight on June 6.
As part of the latest registration process, CBSE has introduced mandatory Aadhaar verification as a security measure. For students without an Aadhaar number, the board allows the use of the Aadhaar details of a parent, relative, or legal guardian. However, the name, date of birth, and gender entered must match those of the individual whose Aadhaar number is provided.
To apply for re-evaluation, students must log in through their accounts on the CBSE website and select either or both services based on their needs. The board requires candidates to enter an Aadhaar number when accessing the portal. If a student’s Aadhaar is unavailable, they must ensure that the application details correspond to the alternative Aadhaar number being used.
Students can seek rectification for issues identified in their scanned answer books, which include:
- Missing pages
- Missing supplementary sheets
- Missing maps or graphs
- Blurred pages
- Incorrect answer book uploaded
- Evaluation against a different question paper set
Candidates may select multiple issues and subjects within a single application. Only one application for verification of issues will be allowed, and all requests should be included before clicking the “Freeze and Proceed to Payment” option, as modifications cannot be made afterward. Applications will be deemed submitted only after successful payment.
The fee for verifying issues in scanned answer books is set at Rs 100 per book, while re-evaluation costs Rs 25 per question. Payments can be made via UPI, credit cards, debit cards, or net banking.
For re-evaluation, students can apply for one or more questions across different subjects, providing necessary details such as question and page numbers. The board warns that no edits can be made after payment initiation, and all requests must be finalized before submission.
The application timeline is strictly from June 2 to June 6, 2026, with no offline submissions accepted. Students must complete the process online to ensure their requests are considered.
