Celebrating 26 years since the release of his directorial debut, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, filmmaker Karan Johar shared a montage video featuring behind-the-scenes moments from the film. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji, KKHH is still considered a cult classic in Hindi cinema. To mark this special occasion, Karan Johar took to Instagram to share a nostalgic video showcasing unseen pictures from the sets, capturing the essence of the film.

In the post, Johar reminisced about the cool neck chains, neon shirts, pink headbands, and the memorable moments from the summer camp depicted in the film. He reflected on the themes of friendship turning into love, wishing on shooting stars, and the timeless characters that continue to resonate with audiences even after 26 years.

Last year, the film was re-released on its 25th anniversary, and Johar, Khan, and Mukerji surprised fans with a special appearance at a theatre, generating excitement on social media. Johar praised Shah Rukh Khan as the ‘Emperor of entertainment’ and the ‘King of romance’, acknowledging the significant impact Khan had on his career.

Expressing gratitude towards Khan and Aditya Chopra for their contributions to his career, Johar acknowledged their influence and shared his appreciation for the opportunities they provided him. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was a critical and commercial success, becoming the highest-grossing film of the year and the third highest-grossing film at the time, following ‘Hum Aapke Hai Koun’ and ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’.

Overall, the film’s enduring popularity and impact on audiences continue to make it a beloved classic in Indian cinema.
