New Delhi: Recent trends in Indian cinema have seen a surge in mythological films, with many releases on the horizon. One of the upcoming titles is Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart, starring Siddharth Gupta, Sushmitha Bhat, Sanskruti Jayana, Nivaashiyni Krishnan, Shuman Das, and Shiv Narayanan.

While mythological films often captivate audiences with their grandeur, the production demands can be substantial. In a recent interview with India TV, Krishnavataram actor Sanskruti Jayana discussed some of the significant challenges she faced while filming.

Sanskruti Jayana Reflects on a Challenging Moment

Sanskruti described the grueling experience of executing complex dance sequences in heavy traditional costumes while battling extreme temperatures reaching 46 degrees Celsius. She shared, “The dance sequence was so tough because I didn’t know that I was going to dance in the film. I found out just two days before, and it is a song by Sundari Chauhan ma’am and Ishad Kamil sir, so it’s a big responsibility. Kruti Mahesh is the choreographer known for such songs, which added to my anxiety. We had to accomplish everything in 24 hours.”

The actress further elaborated, “We learned the lyrics, rehearsed, and shot all within a day. It was 46 degrees in Gujarat, and I was wearing a costume heavier than my weight. My feet were cut and bruised. Beyond the physical pain, the pressure of performing alongside many talented dancers and conveying the emotions of Satyabhama in that song made it particularly challenging for me, especially as it was my first experience.”

Was Dancing More Challenging Than Action?

Sanskruti affirmed that the dance sequences posed more difficulty than action scenes. “Action was not that tough, honestly. I enjoyed it fully, although the rope work was taxing physically, especially since I lack training in action. However, the dance and the emotional depth of Satyabhama’s character presented a different level of challenge for me,” she explained.
