At the toss, India captain Suryakumar Yadav explained his team’s decision to bowl first. “We are looking to bowl first. It looks like a good wicket that gets better under lights. We’ve been batting well initially, but we prefer to chase today. The groundsmen have done a terrific job with the wickets here, and we want to maintain the brand of cricket we’ve displayed over the last 5-6 games,” Yadav stated. He added, “Unfortunately, Hardik misses out due to a niggle, along with Arshdeep and Harshit. Bumrah, Dube, and Rinku come in.”
