Dubai: India vs. Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025 Final

India faces Pakistan in the final of the Asia Cup 2025, taking place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 28. India won the toss and opted to bowl first. The Indian team aims to deliver a strong performance with the ball.

India approaches the match with three changes to its lineup. Hardik Pandya, who sustained an injury in the previous game, will not play. Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana are also missing. Rinku Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, and Shivam Dube have been brought into the team.

Pakistan, on the other hand, is fielding the same lineup as in their last match, choosing stability as they take on India in this significant contest, eager to claim the title.

Suryakumar Yadav’s Comments at the Toss

At the toss, India captain Suryakumar Yadav explained his team’s decision to bowl first. “We are looking to bowl first. It looks like a good wicket that gets better under lights. We’ve been batting well initially, but we prefer to chase today. The groundsmen have done a terrific job with the wickets here, and we want to maintain the brand of cricket we’ve displayed over the last 5-6 games,” Yadav stated. He added, “Unfortunately, Hardik misses out due to a niggle, along with Arshdeep and Harshit. Bumrah, Dube, and Rinku come in.”

India’s Playing XI: Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav (captain), Tilak Varma, Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper), Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy.

Pakistan’s Playing XI: Fakhar Zaman, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha (captain), Hussain Talat, Mohammad Haris (wicketkeeper), Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed.
