Skoda has completed 25 years in India, making it one of the oldest players in the market. The brand made its official entry with the launch of the Skoda Octavia, which set the benchmark for what customers could expect from the carmaker. Over the years, Skoda has introduced some outstanding products that have resonated well with Indian car buyers. Despite initial challenges with dealer networks and service, Skoda has made significant strides under the India 2.0 strategy to improve the overall ownership experience.

The latest addition to Skoda’s lineup is the all-new Kylaq, a sub-four-metre SUV that aims to cater to the evolving needs of Indian consumers. The Kylaq inherits the brand’s signature design elements such as split LED headlights, bold grille, and plastic cladding for a rugged look. Inside, the cabin exudes a sense of premiumness with dual-tone finishes and a host of features including an electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, a 10-inch infotainment system, wireless charging, and more. The spacious interior, comfortable seating, and ample boot space make the Kylaq a practical choice in its segment.

On the road, the Kylaq impresses with its dynamic performance and agility. The steering is precise, the chassis feels well-balanced, and the suspension strikes a perfect balance between handling and ride comfort. The 1-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine delivers adequate power, whether paired with a manual or automatic transmission. The manual gearbox offers engaging shifts, while the automatic gearbox excels in city driving conditions.

Priced competitively between ₹7.89 lakh and ₹14.40 lakh, the Skoda Kylaq promises a value-for-money proposition with its fresh design, premium interior, and solid performance. With a five-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP and a well-established sales and service network, Skoda is well-positioned to capture a significant share of the sub-four-metre SUV segment. The Kylaq’s blend of style, features, performance, and brand legacy makes it a compelling choice for buyers looking for a versatile and reliable vehicle in this competitive space.
