India and New Zealand Women are all set to battle it out in a three-match ODI series beginning on October 24. The White Ferns clinched their first T20 World Cup title on November 20, and within just two days, they had to fly to India for the ODI series. Despite stepping down from T20I captaincy post the final, Sophie Devine continues to lead the ODI squad. New Zealand will be looking to capitalize on their recent success and carry forward the winning momentum.
On the other hand, India’s T20 World Cup journey was cut short in the group stage after a defeat to New Zealand in their opening match. The Indian team, under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur, will be eager to prove themselves in the ODI format and bounce back from the disappointment of the T20 World Cup.
In head-to-head ODI encounters, New Zealand has historically dominated India with 32 victories out of 53 matches played. India, on the other hand, has emerged victorious in 20 matches, with one ending in a tie.
