After former US President Donald Trump praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his response to perceived threats to India’s national security, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took a dig at the previous Congress-led UPA government for its lackluster response during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

In a podcast, Trump referred to PM Modi as his “friend”, “the nicest human being”, and a “total killer” when faced with threats against India. The BJP, in response, highlighted PM Modi’s strong stance against such threats compared to the UPA government’s weak response during the Mumbai attacks.

Trump’s comments on Modi were shared in a viral clip from the Flagrant podcast, where he praised Modi’s assertive approach towards national security. The BJP emphasized the difference in attitude between PM Modi and the UPA government in handling such critical situations.

Trump also praised the Howdy Modi event in Houston, Texas, where he and PM Modi shared the stage in front of a large audience. He commended Modi’s leadership qualities and toughness towards adversaries, particularly in dealing with cross-border terrorism.

Describing Modi as a tough leader when dealing with India’s enemies, Trump recalled a conversation where Modi assured him of handling any threats faced by the country. Trump expressed admiration for Modi’s bold response and the strong relationship they share.

Overall, Trump’s praise for PM Modi’s leadership and strong response to national security threats showcases the admiration he holds for the Indian Prime Minister as a decisive and resilient leader.
