Ahmedabad: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 concluded with the defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru triumphing over the Gujarat Titans in the final match. Among the standout performers of the season was 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, whose remarkable achievements have resonated with fans.

Representing the Rajasthan Royals, Sooryavanshi showcased exceptional talent throughout the tournament, accumulating runs against some of the league’s top bowlers. He topped the charts by securing the IPL orange cap with a total of 776 runs across 16 innings. His outstanding form helped Rajasthan Royals reach Qualifier 2, where they were ultimately eliminated by the Gujarat Titans. During the season, Sooryavanshi shattered multiple records and came close to breaking Chris Gayle’s legendary 30-ball century record.

Awards Won by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi:

  • IPL Orange Cap – ₹10 lakh
  • Most Valuable Player – ₹15 lakh
  • Super Striker of the Season
  • Super Sixes of the Season – ₹10 lakh
  • Emerging Player of the Season – ₹10 lakh

Sooryavanshi was present at the IPL 2026 final held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. He was seen sitting alongside ICC chairman Jay Shah, attending to receive several awards earned during the season. His performances were pivotal for the Rajasthan Royals, who had struggled in the previous season, finishing at the lower end of the points table in 2025. With Sooryavanshi on their roster, the franchise aims to build on this success in future seasons.
