Jaipur: Game 36 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) featured Rajasthan Royals squaring off against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on April 25. Rajasthan Royals batted first after losing the toss.
The innings began with Yashasvi Jaiswal scoring 10 runs off eight balls. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was the standout performer, amassing an impressive 103 runs from just 37 deliveries. Dhruv Jurel contributed 51 runs, while Donovan Ferreira chipped in with 33 runs, helping the Royals to a total of 228 runs.
Eshan Malinga emerged as the top wicket-taker for Sunrisers Hyderabad, claiming two wickets. Praful Hinge, Pat Cummins, Sakib Hussain, and Nitish Kumar Reddy each took one wicket. Despite Sooryavanshi’s explosive start, the middle order of Rajasthan Royals faltered, and a potential 250 runs was reduced to 228.
In the run chase, Jofra Archer struck early by dismissing Travis Head for six runs off five deliveries. However, the partnership between Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma proved pivotal. Kishan scored 74 runs from 31 balls, while Abhishek added 57 runs. Nitish Kumar Reddy contributed 36 runs off 18 balls, allowing Sunrisers Hyderabad to secure a five-wicket victory and ascend the points table.
For Rajasthan, Jofra Archer and Brijesh Sharma both took two wickets in the run chase, but their efforts were insufficient as Sunrisers Hyderabad clinched the match.
