Oil Prices Decline Amid U.S.-Iran Peace Talks
As tensions ease, oil prices experienced a decline on Tuesday. The drop is attributed to expectations that peace talks between the United States and Iran are likely to occur this week, potentially increasing supply from the Middle East. As of 0003 GMT, Brent crude futures fell by 95 cents, or 1%, to $94.53, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for May dropped $1.54, or 1.72%, to $88.07. The May contract is set to expire today, with the more actively traded June contract falling $1.09, or 1.3%, to $86.37. (Source: Reuters)
