New Delhi: Fans of actors Sanjay Dutt and Aayush Sharma have reason to celebrate, as producer Sohail Khan has announced his upcoming film, My Punjabi Nikaah, which will feature both actors together for the first time. The project is already attracting significant attention, primarily due to the unique pairing and its promise of a light-hearted commercial film steeped in humor, drama, and familial chaos.

In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Khan revealed that the film is in the final stages of scripting and development. Filming is anticipated to commence soon, with a planned release later this year.

Sanjay Dutt and Aayush Sharma’s First Collaboration

It’s noteworthy that My Punjabi Nikaah represents the inaugural on-screen partnership between Dutt and Sharma. Khan is actively searching for an authentic director for the film and has not yet confirmed whether he will direct it himself. Regarding the cast, Khan mentioned that, in addition to Dutt and Sharma, a new female actor will play a leading role.

Sanjay Dutt’s Recent Work

Sanjay Dutt has had a prolific year in 2026, appearing in three films to date and preparing for a fourth release. He garnered acclaim for his role as SP Choudhary Aslam in Dhurandhar: The Revenge, followed by appearances in the Kannada film KD: The Devil and Riteish Deshmukh’s Raja Shivaji, where he portrayed Afzal Khan. Dutt’s next film, an action thriller titled Aakhri Sawal, is scheduled to premiere on May 15, 2026, alongside co-star Sameera Reddy.

Aayush Sharma’s Upcoming Projects

Aayush Sharma, who is also the brother-in-law of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, has two projects lined up, including Ragini 3 and My Punjabi Nikaah. Ragini 3, which stars Tamannaah Bhatia, is highly anticipated, although specific details about the project remain under wraps, with more information expected soon.
