The classic 1981 film Silsila is set to make a comeback in theatres once again. Despite its initial box office failure, the love triangle between Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, and Rekha has always been a fan favorite, be it on TV or OTT platforms. Now, fans will have the chance to experience the magic of Silsila on the big screen once more.

The film, directed by Yash Chopra, is known for its unforgettable music, dialogues, and stellar performances. Despite Rekha and Jaya Bachchan’s iconic roles in the movie, it was revealed that Parveen Babi was initially considered for a role in the film. However, due to controversies, she was eventually replaced.

Amitabh Bachchan, currently hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati, will also be seen in the sequel of Kalki 2898 AD. Meanwhile, Jaya Bachchan is set to star in ‘Dil Ka Darwaza Khol Na Darling’ alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Wamiqa Gabbi.

The re-release of Silsila comes in the wake of successful re-releases of other iconic films like Tumbbad, Laila Majnu, Rockstar, Ye Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Veer Zara. Fans can mark their calendars for February 7 to relive the magic of Silsila on the silver screen once again.
