Prime Minister Narendra Modi called on stakeholders to provide suggestions for enhancing the effectiveness of ongoing schemes and accelerating the implementation of this year’s budget at the grassroots level. Speaking at a virtual post-budget webinar on “Agriculture and rural prosperity,” Modi emphasized the need for consistency in policy and alignment with the vision of Viksit Bharat, as reflected in the government’s full budget presentation during its third term.

Before the budget was finalized, input and feedback from various stakeholders were considered, and now the focus is on ensuring efficient implementation on the ground. Modi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promoting agricultural growth and rural prosperity, highlighting the importance of increasing pulse production to reduce imports and encouraging the private sector to invest in high-yielding crop seeds.

During the webinar, Modi urged participants to concentrate on enhancing the effectiveness of existing schemes rather than proposing new ones. He called for a discussion on overcoming obstacles and addressing shortcomings in budget implementation, emphasizing the need for practical measures to drive progress in the agriculture sector.

Overall, Modi’s message to stakeholders was clear: focus on maximizing the impact of the current budget and leveraging collective efforts to drive positive change in the agricultural and rural sectors.
