A video from 33 years ago is quickly gaining popularity on social media. It features three highly acclaimed actors performing a song for a theatre production on stage. The lyrics of the song go, ‘Baat hai us rangili duniya ki jab main 17 baras ki thi…’. In this performance, a female artist is dancing at the front, accompanied by several male actors. Among these artists, three have made a significant mark in Bollywood. One of them recently received the National Award, while the other two have also established themselves in the industry. Yes, these stars are Manoj Bajpayee, Piyush Mishra, and Rituraj Singh. Interestingly, these three actors were classmates at the National School of Drama and also worked together in theatre productions.

The Video from an Old Theatre Play

This iconic video is from a 33-year-old theatre production featuring Manoj Bajpayee in the blue shirt and jeans, Piyush Mishra playing the harmonium and singing, and Rituraj Singh in the pink kurta and jeans. Rituraj Singh, who sadly passed away this year, was a prominent figure in the TV industry and was last seen in the show Anupama.

People’s Reaction

This viral video has evoked nostalgia among social media users. Many Instagram users were impressed with the song’s lyrics and recognized the actors. Some comments included, ‘I can see Manoj, Piyush, and Rituraj,’ ‘Reminds me of Gangs of Wasseypur before Anurag Kashyap,’ and ‘I recognize Manoj Bajpayee, Piyush, and the recently deceased actor.’

What are the Stars Doing Now?

Piyush Mishra, besides being an actor, is also a talented singer currently engaged in his musical concerts. He has appeared in films like Gulaal, Shaukeen, Gangs of Wasseypur, Rockstar, and Aaja Nachle. Additionally, he has written and sung numerous songs.
