The much-anticipated sequel, Kesari Chapter 2, is set to delve into the untold story of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Rumors suggest that the film will shed light on barrister C Sankaran Nair’s fight to uncover the truth behind the tragic events of 1919.

Exciting news for movie enthusiasts as Karan Johar has officially announced the teaser release and new premiere date for Kesari Chapter 2. The teaser is scheduled to be unveiled on March 24, with the film hitting theaters worldwide on April 18, 2025. Johar took to Instagram to share the update, stating, “Kuch ladaaiyan hathiyaaron se nahi ladi jaati. #KesariChapter2 teaser out on 24th March. In cinemas 18th April, worldwide.”

Kesari Chapter 2 boasts an impressive cast, including Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, and R Madhavan in lead roles. Based on the book “The Case That Shook The Empire” by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat, the film chronicles the life of C Sankaran Nair, a barrister who challenged the British Raj to unveil the truth behind the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Raghu Palat, the great-grandson of C Sankaran Nair, provides a deep dive into this crucial period of Indian history.

Initially slated for release on March 14, 2025, the film has been postponed to April 18, 2025. Produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films, Kesari Chapter 2 is helmed by director Karan Singh Tyagi. The film’s confirmed title, “Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh,” hints at the gripping and undisclosed revelations it will bring to light.

Fans are eagerly anticipating the film’s release, following the success of the first chapter in the Kesari franchise. The focus on the courageous figure of C Sankaran Nair, a former President of the Indian National Congress, adds historical and profound significance to the narrative. His bravery in challenging the British Empire’s narrative surrounding the Jallianwala Bagh tragedy is a testament to resistance.

With a compelling storyline and a stellar cast, Kesari Chapter 2 is poised to be a standout film of 2025. Mark your calendars for the teaser release on March 24 and the theatrical premiere on April 18!
