Bollywood actress and Mandi MP, Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency has finally received approval from the censor board. The actress and director shared the good news with her fans on her social media profile. “We are pleased to announce that we have received the censor certificate for our movie Emergency. We will be announcing the release date soon. Thank you for your patience and support,” she tweeted.

The film Emergency had faced a delay in its release as it had not received clearance from the Censor Board of Film Certification. The makers even went to the Bombay High Court to seek certification for the film. The delay was due to three scenes in the film that the censor board had requested to be removed. After the makers agreed to censor those scenes, the Bombay High Court closed the case, and the film was finally certified.

Directed by Kangana Ranaut, Emergency also features Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik in lead roles. The film, produced by Zee Studios and Manikarnika Films, revolves around the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, with Kangana portraying the lead role. Indira Gandhi had declared an emergency in the country in 1975.

The certification of Emergency has raised expectations for the announcement of its release date. It is anticipated that the film will hit the screens soon.
