With this performance, Archer became the leading wicket-taker for Rajasthan in IPL history, surpassing Shane Watson’s previous record of 67 wickets, now standing at 68 wickets for the franchise. Yuzvendra Chahal, Siddharth Trivedi, and Shane Warne follow in third, fourth, and fifth places, respectively.
During the match, Archer dismissed Aiden Markram for a duck in the powerplay, followed by the dismissals of Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan in the final overs. As a result, Rajasthan climbed to second place on the IPL points table. Archer is having an impressive season, having taken 11 wickets in just seven matches, positioning him as one of the joint-third leading wicket-takers of the season, alongside teammate Ravi Bishnoi.
