India Set to Compete in Two Warm-Up Matches Ahead of 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the warm-up fixtures for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, set to commence on June 12. For the first time, twelve teams will compete in the tournament.

Prior to the main event, teams will participate in 12 warm-up matches from June 6 to 10, taking place in Derby, Loughborough, and Cardiff. India will feature in two of these matches: the first against the host nation, England, and the second against the West Indies, the champions of 2016.

India’s Schedule: June 8 and 10
India will face the West Indies on June 8 at Cardiff, followed by a match against England on June 10, also in Cardiff. The Indian team, captained by Harmanpreet Kaur, will also engage in a three-match T20I series against England from late May to early June, allowing the players to acclimatize to English conditions.

Netherlands to Make T20 World Cup Debut
The Netherlands will be making their Women’s T20 World Cup debut. They are scheduled to play warm-up matches against Scotland on June 6 and Sri Lanka on June 9. The defending champions, New Zealand, will take on Bangladesh on June 6 and then face 2024 finalists South Africa on June 9.

Warm-Up Fixtures for T20 World Cup 2026:

  • June 6

    • 10 AM: Netherlands vs. Scotland, Derby
    • 10 AM: South Africa vs. Ireland, Loughborough
    • 3 PM: Sri Lanka vs. Pakistan, Derby
    • 3 PM: New Zealand vs. Bangladesh, Loughborough
  • June 8

    • 10 AM: West Indies vs. India, Cardiff
    • 3 PM: England vs. Australia, Cardiff
  • June 9

    • 10 AM: Scotland vs. Pakistan, Derby
    • 10 AM: Ireland vs. Bangladesh, Loughborough
    • 3 PM: Netherlands vs. Sri Lanka, Derby
    • 3 PM: South Africa vs. New Zealand, Loughborough
  • June 10

    • 10 AM: India vs. England, Cardiff
    • 3 PM: West Indies vs. Australia, Cardiff
