Gold prices increased by ₹531 to reach ₹1,52,663 per 10 grams in futures trading on Thursday, driven by fresh positions taken by speculators amid strong spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for delivery in June were up by ₹531, representing a 0.35 percent rise, with a trading volume of 728 lots. Analysts attribute the price increase to the new positions established by market participants.

On the international market, gold futures also saw a slight uptick of 0.13 percent, settling at $4,697.6 per ounce in New York.

The publication date of this report is May 7, 2026.
