Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) plans to temporarily shut down a crude unit that produces 120,000 barrels per day, along with several secondary units, at its Mumbai refinery, which has a total capacity of 200,000 barrels per day. The scheduled maintenance is expected to last three to four weeks during September and October, according to an industry source.

Originally, BPCL intended to conduct this maintenance in June, but plans were postponed to accommodate local fuel demand, as noted by a government official. As of now, the company has not provided a response to Reuters regarding the upcoming maintenance schedule.
