Asia Cup 2025 Points Table: Controversial Pakistan Victory Over UAE Shakes Standings

New Delhi: The Asia Cup 2025 is nearing the conclusion of its group stage, with Pakistan securing a victory over UAE in Group A, leaving only two group matches remaining. India is set to face Oman in Group A, while Sri Lanka will compete against Afghanistan in Group B to finalize the group stage.

Despite Pakistan’s win against UAE, they remain in second place in their group, having won two out of three matches and accumulating four points. India currently leads Group A, bolstered by a superior run rate, and will meet Oman in their final group stage encounter at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on September 19.

In the recent match, Pakistan batted first, scoring 146 runs in their innings and restricting UAE to 105 runs, winning the match by 41 runs.

Sri Lanka Leads Group B

In Group B, Sri Lanka is at the top with two victories in two matches. Bangladesh is in second place with two wins and one loss from three matches, but their net run rate is inferior. Afghanistan occupies third place, while Hong Kong is fourth. The final match in Group B will see Sri Lanka play against Afghanistan at the Zayed Cricket Stadium on September 18.
