New Delhi: Fans of Aneet Padda have eagerly anticipated news of her next project, and their wait appears to be over. Reports indicate that the “Saiyaara” actress is set to star in a courtroom drama titled “Navya.”

According to a report from Bollywood Bubble, Aneet will portray a young survivor fighting for justice in “Navya.” The film also features Fatima Sana Shaikh and Arjun Mathur, and is set against a backdrop of legal battles, addressing themes of courage, truth, and justice.

Project Details

“Navya” is directed by Nitya Mehra, known for her work on “Baar Baar Dekho” and “Made in Heaven.” Sources suggest that Aneet will play a victim who bravely confronts a powerful spiritual leader accused of misconduct. The narrative is described as an intense courtroom drama focused on the fight against injustice faced by women. A source noted, “Her character is central to the story and brings emotional depth to the narrative. It aims to highlight themes of justice, power imbalance, and courage.”

Aneet’s Acting Journey

In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Aneet expressed her longstanding passion for acting. She shared, “I always wanted to act. I would be recording auditions and locking my door, telling my parents I was doing homework. I knew I’d have to do this on my own because my parents didn’t have enough money to take me to Mumbai to audition.”

She began her career with the OTT drama “Big Girls Don’t Cry” in 2024, followed by her breakout role in “Saiyaara.”

Success of ‘Saiyaara’

Aneet’s film “Saiyaara,” in collaboration with Ahaan Panday, was one of the year’s biggest blockbusters, grossing a worldwide total of ₹570.67 crore. The film’s success catapulted Aneet into stardom, and anticipation is high among her fans for her upcoming role in “Navya.”

As the release approaches, fans are eager to see Aneet’s first look from the film.
