Amit Shah Warns: Terrorism Supporters Will Face Consequences Like Afzal Guru

“Those who advocate terrorism will face a fate akin to that of (Parliament attack convict) Afzal Guru,” Mr. Shah declared.

In response to regional parties’ calls for reinstating Article 370, Mr. Shah asserted, “Even future generations of Rahul (Gandhi) will not have the capability to restore it. For the first time, elections are being conducted here without Article 370 and a separate flag. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought an end to the dual constitutional framework,” he stated.

He added, “Claims made by the NC (National Conference) and Rahul Baba regarding the restoration of Article 370 are baseless; future generations of Rahul will lack the power to reinstate those provisions.”

Blaming the Congress, NC, and PDP (Peoples Democratic Party) for not combating terrorism, Mr. Shah emphasized, “PM Modi has put an end to stone pelting and gunfire. Meanwhile, these three parties aspire to revive terrorism in J&K. No one has the power to bring back terrorism in J&K.”

Referring to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent comments about Statehood for Jammu & Kashmir, the Union Home Minister stated, “Rahul and Omar insist on restoring Statehood. I had pledged to restore Statehood shortly after the elections in J&K. PM Modi has also affirmed that it will be reinstated. Statehood will be restored solely through Parliament, under PM Modi’s governance,” he stated.

In a separate rally on Wednesday (September 25, 2024), Mr. Adityanath urged voters to back the BJP’s success to facilitate the inclusion of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir into India.

“The J&K elections hold historic significance, and the results will deliver a resounding response to the NC, PDP, and Congress. In 1990, those parties supported Pakistan and terrorism. The current situation in Pakistan is dire. The price of one kilogram of Atta there has reached ₹500. In contrast, PM Modi provides free rations to 80 crore citizens of India and ₹60 crore are receiving complimentary (medical) treatment up to ₹5 lakh, which has been increased to ₹7 lakh,” Mr. Adityanath asserted.

He noted that the Amarnath Yatra faced threats in the past, but now devotees from all over the country are flocking to the shrine.
