SEBI Greenlights Amit Mahajan and Nayana Ovalekar’s Appointments at CDSL

Central Depository Services Limited (CDSL) has obtained approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to appoint Amit Mahajan and Nayana Ovalekar as new executive directors on its board.

Amit Mahajan will be responsible for overseeing Vertical 1, which includes Critical Operations. Nayana Ovalekar will manage Vertical 2, which encompasses Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, Risk Management, and Investor Grievances.

These appointments are contingent upon ratification by the shareholders of CDSL and will take effect on their respective joining dates. SEBI communicated the approval to CDSL in letters dated Monday.
