Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis dismissed Congress leader and opposition head in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi’s, recent remarks predicting the downfall of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, labeling them as “daydreaming” and “mere imagination.”
Gandhi was reported to have stated during a Congress minority department advisory council meeting that the government led by Prime Minister Modi would collapse within a year. In response, Fadnavis likened Gandhi’s comments to the famous television series “Mungerilal Ke Haseen Sapne,” which portrays a man caught in unrealistic daydreams.
“His remark is nothing more than that,” Fadnavis remarked to journalists, emphasizing the incongruity of Gandhi’s prediction.
These comments were made on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Godam Logistics Park in Nagpur, where Union Minister Nitin Gadkari was also in attendance. Fadnavis articulated that the new logistics park would significantly benefit the region’s manufacturing sector and enhance Nagpur’s emergence as a logistics hub.
He highlighted that the comprehensive logistics policy implemented by the government has transformed Nagpur into a national logistics center, with the logistics parks likely to reduce operational costs in the region.
“Lowering logistics expenses is essential for Indian businesses to compete globally and secure their place in international supply chains,” Fadnavis stated. He further affirmed that the current initiatives aim to make India competitive on a global scale, facilitating a stronger presence in the global market.
