Pakistan Announces Squad for Women’s T20 World Cup 2026

New Delhi: Pakistan has officially announced its squad for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, set to commence on June 12 in England. The team will also compete in a T20I bilateral series against Ireland and the West Indies. Captain Fatima Sana will lead the squad for the second consecutive T20 World Cup, having previously assumed the role in the 2024 edition.

The squad includes five players—Eyman Fatima, Natalia Pervaiz, Rameen Shamim, Saira Jabeen, and Tasmia Rubab—who are poised to make their first appearances in the T20 World Cup. Pervaiz and Rubab were part of the squads for the 2018 and 2024 World Cups but did not play in any matches. Eyman, Pervaiz, and Shamim were also included in the ODI squad for the 2025 World Cup, where India was victorious.

Diana Baig Returns; Amber Kainat Dropped

Fast bowler Diana Baig has made her return to the squad, replacing right-arm fast-medium bowler Amber Kainat, marking the only alteration to the team that achieved a 3-0 series victory over Zimbabwe. Baig was one of five reserve players during the Zimbabwe series. Kainat has been moved to the list of six reserve players for both the World Cup and the upcoming bilateral series, while Sidra Amin continues to remain in reserves alongside Momina Riasat, Sadaf Shamas, Syeda Aroob Shah, and Umm-e-Hani.
