Ranveer Singh Cares for Daughter in Cape Town Amidst Rumors
New Delhi: Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is currently in Cape Town, South Africa, caring for his daughter Dua Padukone Singh while his wife, actress Deepika Padukone, is on set shooting her upcoming film alongside Shah Rukh Khan. As Ranveer enjoys the success of his films, including “Dhurandhar,” rumors have circulated regarding his requests for multiple vanity vans on movie sets, reportedly placing financial strain on producers.
While some users on social media speculated whether these rumors pertained only to Ranveer Singh, others supported him, arguing that a high-profile film like “Dhurandhar 2” would not permit such a request. In light of these discussions, Gaurav Gera, who co-stars with Ranveer in “Dhurandhar,” has addressed the rumors.
Gaurav Gera Defends Ranveer Singh
During a candid episode on Farah Khan’s YouTube channel, where she visited Gaurav’s home in Mumbai, Gaurav defended Singh after Farah suggested that a talent like Ranveer should be allowed several vanity vans. Gaurav swiftly responded, “I didn’t see so many vans around him.”
A Memorable Meeting
Gaurav also recounted a memorable moment from the first reading of “Dhurandhar,” which lasted several hours. At one point, director Aditya Dhar called for a restroom break, prompting Ranveer to approach Gaurav and ask, “Chutki washroom challegi?” (“Chutki, do you want to go to the washroom?”).
For context, “Chutki” is a popular character created by Gaurav Gera in 2025 that gained significant traction online, especially with his “Shopkeeper” sketches. This connection may explain why the audience found it surprising that the actor known for comedic roles could portray the character of Mohammad Alam.
