New Delhi: In a significant personal milestone for India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav, he and his wife, Devisha Shetty, have welcomed a baby girl. Suryakumar announced the joyful news on his social media platform amidst the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
“With giggles, bows, and dreams to unfurl – we welcome our baby girl,” Suryakumar wrote in his post. Currently, he is representing the Mumbai Indians in the IPL but has struggled to deliver notable performances thus far.
At 35 years old, Suryakumar aims to reverse his fortunes as the season progresses. Following the announcement on social media, numerous celebrities took to the comments section to extend their congratulations.
In terms of team performance, the Mumbai Indians have also faced challenges in the ongoing IPL edition. To date, they have played 10 matches, securing victories in only three while suffering defeats in seven. This places them ninth in the standings, and they seek to improve in their remaining four games.
Suryakumar’s form has been a notable concern; across 10 matches, he has managed to score only 195 runs, yielding an average of 19.5. His batting struggles have been a key factor in the team’s difficulties. With the potential for qualification still on the table, the Mumbai Indians hope for Suryakumar’s return to form to help drive the team towards success.
