Similarly, distributors will also get an additional incentive of a similar amount on new SIPs started by first-time investors (identified by PAN).

The additional distribution commission will be paid from the 2 basis points on daily net assets, mandated to be set apart annually by AMCs for investor education, awareness and financial inclusion initiatives, subject to adequate claw-back provisions, it said on Thursday.

The new commission will be in addition to the existing trail commission paid to the distributor from the scheme.

Distributors will be eligible to receive the additional commission for mobilising investments from new women investors from the top 30 cities. However, dual incentives for the same investor/investment will not be permitted, it said.

Additional incentive will not be available in Exchange Traded Funds, Fund of Funds (domestic), Overnight, Liquid, Ultra Short Duration and Low Duration funds.

To ensure uniform implementation, AMFI, in consultation with SEBI, will issue the necessary implementation standards within 30 calendar days, it added.
