Captain Polyplast, a leading manufacturer and exporter of micro irrigation solutions and solar EPC player, has reported that its net profit was down 75 per cent in September quarter at ₹4 crore against ₹16 crore logged in same period last year.

The company’s net profit in the same quarter last year was boosted by an exceptional income of ₹16 crore.

Income increased to ₹80 crore (₹53 crore). EBITDA was up 23 per cent to ₹8 crore on account of steady growth in both micro irrigation and solar EPC segment.

During the September quarter, the company received initial order for supply of 200 off-grid solar water pumps worth ₹6 crore from MSEDCL under the “Magel Tyala Saur Krishi Pump” Yojna.

It also got LOA from Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company under the PM-KUSUM Scheme for empanelment to supply off-grid solar water pumps across Gujarat.

Ritesh Khichadia, a Whole Time Director, Captain Polyplast said the company focused on strengthening operations and maintaining steady progress across core segments.

“We have secured vendor empanelment for supply of solar pumps under PM-KUSUM scheme in Maharashtra and Gujarat,” he said.

The company expanded solar EPC business by focusing on both rooftop and solar pumps segment.

Looking ahead, the company expects strong government support continuing to drive demand for irrigation and solar solutions. The reduction in GST from 12 per cent to 5 per cent on drip irrigation, sprinklers, and solar equipment has improved affordability which augurs well for demand, he said.

Shares of the company were down 7 per cent at ₹77 on Monday.
