In a significant development ahead of India’s white-ball tour in Australia, prominent batsmen Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are reportedly included in the squad for the ODI series. After retiring from Test and T20 formats, there has been speculation about their future in ODIs.

According to a report from Cricbuzz, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is expected to announce the squad on Saturday, October 4. The tour will consist of eight white-ball matches, commencing with three ODIs followed by five T20Is. The ODI series is scheduled to start on October 19, with subsequent matches on October 23 and 25. The T20I series will kick off on October 29 and conclude on November 8. The T20I squad is also anticipated to be disclosed alongside the ODI team.

Kohli and Rohit have not participated in international matches since India’s triumph in the Champions Trophy 2025. During the tournament, Kohli amassed 218 runs, including a century and two half-centuries. Rohit contributed 180 runs, highlighted by a crucial 76 runs in the final against New Zealand.

Further updates will follow as the announcement date approaches.
