Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has secured a five-year contract with Vodafone Idea to enhance the telecom operator’s business support systems using an AI-powered platform. Announced on September 18, 2025, the initiative aims to improve customer experience through automation and personalized services.

The transformation will leverage TCS’s key products, TCS HOBS and TCS TwinX. TCS HOBS will act as the digital foundation for business support systems, while TCS TwinX will offer intelligence powered by AI and machine learning, including scenario simulation capabilities. This integrated platform is designed to speed up service delivery and allow for flexibility in meeting evolving customer needs.

Jagbir Singh, Chief Technology Officer at Vodafone Idea, noted that the partnership signifies a transformative journey aimed at modernizing business support systems with AI-driven innovation to redefine customer experience. The initiative seeks to provide faster, smarter, and more personalized digital interactions.

Ujjwal Mathur, President and Country Head for India Business at TCS, emphasized that this transformation builds on a 15-year collaboration between the companies. TCS has over 25 years of experience supporting the communications, media, and information services sectors across 45 countries, serving more than one billion telecom subscribers worldwide through 105 delivery locations.

This partnership aligns with TCS’s vision of advancing India’s progress through indigenous solutions intended for global deployment.
