The Andhra Pradesh government has designated Suchitra Ella, the Co-founder and Managing Director of Bharat Biotech International, as an honorary advisor with Cabinet rank for a two-year term. Her role will focus on enhancing and developing the handloom and handicrafts sectors. In addition to Ella, three others have been appointed to advise on different sectors.

In her capacity, Ella will work toward expanding market opportunities, attracting both domestic and international investments, and providing support to artisans, cooperative societies, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). She will also propose initiatives aimed at uplifting women artisans, as stated in a government announcement.

The additional honorary advisors include Sreedhara Panicker Somnath, who will focus on space technology; G. Satheesh Reddy, who will concentrate on aerospace and defense manufacturing; and K.P.C. Gandhi, who will advise on forensic science. Each of these advisors has been appointed for a two-year period.
