A sexual harassment allegation has been filed against a pastor from a church located in a village within Punjab’s Jalandhar district, according to police reports released on Sunday.

The complaint, submitted by a woman, states that she and her family have been attending the church since October 2017.

Pastor Bajinder Singh obtained her mobile number and began sending her messages.

She expressed her fear of him, which prevented her from discussing the situation with her parents.

Since 2022, Singh reportedly made her sit alone in a church cabin on Sundays, where he allegedly hugged and touched her inappropriately, as per her statement to the police.

Singh has garnered a substantial social media following, with his content frequently appearing on YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels. He has received endorsements from several celebrities, including actors Chunky Pandey and Aditya Pancholi, over recent months.

Authorities confirmed that a case has been filed against him under sections 354 A (sexual harassment), 354 D (stalking), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
