Odisha is poised to showcase its industrial potential to attract both global and domestic investors at the upcoming two-day Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, scheduled to commence on January 28 in Bhubaneswar.

The event will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will center around three key themes: Start-Up Odisha, Skilled in Odisha, and Women Entrepreneurship. This opening ceremony will take place at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar.

As highlighted by Sampad Chandra Swain, the Minister of Industries and Skill Development & Technical Education for the Government of Odisha, the conclave aims to establish Odisha as a global industrial hub, fostering inclusive and sustainable growth.

“This conclave is not just an investment summit but a transformative journey. Odisha is prepared to spearhead India’s industrial revolution, and we invite industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators to discover the vast potential of our state and join us in turning ambitious visions into reality,” stated Swain.

This conclave represents a crucial step towards realizing the vision of Samrudh Odisha 2036 and contributing to the national goal of Viksit Bharat 2047, while emphasizing Odisha’s significant role in India’s industrial advancement.

With over 7,500 industry delegates registered, including more than 100 international representatives from 20 countries, the conclave is set to gain global recognition. Countries like Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia are expected to lead discussions and collaborations, while delegates from nations such as Vietnam, Zimbabwe, Kazakhstan, Venezuela, the UK, the US, and Nepal will also participate actively.

Prominent business figures, including Lakshmi Niwas Mittal, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Anil Agarwal, Sajjan Jindal, and Karan Adani, will attend the conclave, alongside Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Jual Oram, and Ashwini Vaishnaw.

The Utkarsh Odisha Conclave will focus on key sectors such as technical textiles, downstream petrochemicals, specialty metals, and film and media, while promoting renewable energy, green fuels, and the circular economy. These initiatives align with Odisha’s dedication to sustainable development and strengthening global partnerships.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to experience the state’s rich cultural heritage through performances by the Odisha Dance Academy on the opening day, followed by a medley by the Culture Department on the second day. Each evening will conclude with a captivating Drone Show that harmonizes traditional culture with modern technology.

Additionally, the Make in Odisha Expo, featuring nearly 150 exhibitors, will highlight innovative products and solutions. While the expo will be open exclusively to delegates during the conclave, it will welcome the general public on January 30.
