In recent years, there has been a growing interest in holistic approaches to health and wellness, with individuals seeking out various practices to improve their overall well-being. One such individual who has adopted a multi-faceted approach to wellness is Tarun Katial, the Founder-CEO of coto. Katial’s daily routine is centered around mindfulness, diet, body activation, reflection, and meditation, all of which contribute to his physical, mental, and spiritual health.

  1. Mindfulness: Katial starts his day with an hour of vipassana meditation, the oldest Buddhist meditation practice. This practice helps him center himself and prepare for the day ahead. Vipassana has become a foundational aspect of Katial’s life, providing him with a sense of clarity and calm.

  2. Diet: In order to improve his metabolic and brain health, Katial practices intermittent fasting on a daily basis. He follows a diet that includes lunch and a low-carb, gluten-free dinner, which helps him maintain steady energy levels throughout the day.

  3. Body Activation: Fitness is a priority for Katial, and he incorporates electro muscle stimulation (EMS) training into his routine 2-3 times a week. This form of training optimizes muscle engagement and saves time, allowing Katial to achieve his fitness goals without long, drawn-out workouts.

  4. Reflection: In the evenings, Katial visits a gurudwara for gratitude and spiritual reflection. This practice helps him find inner tranquility and peace amidst the busyness of daily life.

  5. Meditation: To unwind, Katial enjoys catching up on his favorite TV series, particularly “The New Look,” a show on mental resilience set in the post-WW2 era. Additionally, he practices meditation using Dr. Joe Dispenza’s techniques, which focus on the impact of thoughts on health. Dr. Dispenza, a neuroscientist and mindfulness expert, believes that positive thoughts can have a beneficial effect on one’s overall well-being.

By incorporating these various practices into his daily routine, Tarun Katial has found a balance that enhances his physical, mental, and spiritual health. His commitment to mindfulness, diet, body activation, reflection, and meditation serves as a model for others looking to prioritize their well-being and live a more balanced and fulfilling life.
